Band Bio
We are a rock band from Southern Wisconsin. We play rock covers and enjoy writing original songs together. We released our first album, Sedamore, in April of 2025. Most of us have been performing together since roughly 2021. We had an awesome past few years! We are 2026 WAMI Award Winners in TWO categories; Rising Star and Performer, Rock Modern. We were also Rockonsin Finalists in both 2025 and 2026. We have had the opportunity to perform at some awesome shows over the past few years. These include, but are not limited to: Brat Fest in both 2025 and 2026, Summerfest in both 2025 and 2026, the 2025 MAMAs Award Show and the Taste of Madison. We are looking forward to continuing to perform at as many places as we can and to expand our fan base beyond Wisconsin.

Ivan McIntyre
Guitarist, Lead Vocalist
Ivan is the founder of Take Back The Sun, which he started while in 8th grade in 2021 with his friend, Hunter. He is also the only remaining original member. Ivan has been playing the guitar since 4th grade. Up until this point, Ivan has been the main songwriter for TBTS. Some of his influences include Tool, Deftones and Phil Collins.

Drummer, Vocalist
Hayden Forbes
Bassist, vocalist
Hayden is the current bassist for the band, joining in July 2026. Hayden has been making music since 2017 and released his first single in 2018. In 2024, he transitioned his focus to playing bass and producing records for artists like Erin Cald. Some of his influences include Talking Heads, Elton John, and Wings.
Rebekah Hawbaker
Keyboardist
Rebekah is one of the newer members of TBTS, joining in the fall of 2025, she plays keys in the band but her main instrument she’s studied in college is flute. Outside of TBTS she focuses on classical music. Some of her musical inspiration is Ghost, Dream Theater and Megadeth.
